“"Do not bring people into your life who weigh you down. And trust your instincts … good relationships feel good. They feel right. They don’t hurt. They’re not painful. That’s not just with somebody you want to marry, but it’s with the friends that you choose. It’s with the people you surround yourselves with." -Michelle Obama”—(via cofmcofm)
Graduation season is here. And congrats to my little jellybelly sister [yay! high school is OVA!]!! Where I come from, graduation parties are like MTV’s ‘My Super Sweet Sixteen.’ They’re a big deal.
So to celebrate that close/not-so-close/I-actually-don’t-even-know-you-at-all, graduate in your life, here is a list of a few gift ideas-
1. A planner. Most ladies love to be organized [or appear to be so] & this is one is just so stylish too! 2. BOOKS! I know, I know, who wants more books? But just check these…they are pretty legit! * The Europe Book -Lonely Planet [for the traveler] * Normal Gets You Nowhere -Kelly Cutrone [for the independent lada’] * The First Real Kitchen Cookbook -Megan & Jill Carle or Healthy College Cookbook -Nimetz A [for those you can & cannot cook!] * Stuff Every Woman Should Know & Stuff Every Man Should Know -Alanna Kalb [I need this one] 3. Tickets to their fav band or show, like Jacks Mannequin, Death Cab for Cutie or Lady Gaga…ok, so those might be my favs, maybe you should do a little research. 4. Donating money, a puzzle or hitting a target?? They don’t sound like typical alarm clocks but maybe it’s what that stubborn kid needs to get out of bed in the morning…or afternoon… 5. Make anything from Shutterfly! They have fabulous ideas & make it real easy too! 6. Something to spice up a dorm room or apartment -Anthropologie & Urban Outfitters are my fav places to find homeware items that can totally transform a room! [*wall decals are great cause they funk it up & still change it the next day] 7. A bike. Going green, saving money & it’s just cool! 8. The best gift of all…your love, support & encouragement.
Congrats you graduates! You’re about to rule the world.
